Eukaryotic cells
(mammalian, avian, insects)
When it comes to storing eukaryotic cells at ultra-low temperatures below -145°C, specialized equipment is required for cell bank storage. This includes liquid- or vapor-phase nitrogen tanks (known as LN2 containers or dewars) or ultra-low temperature freezers capable of functioning at -150°C or below.
Clean Cells is a cell bank storage service provider that offers a dedicated area within their facility for ultra-low temperature storage of eukaryotic cells, providing various options:
- Dedicated or shared containers with individual boxes provided in the latter case,
- Pharmaceutical grade vapor- or liquid-phase nitrogen: manual or automated nitrogen monitoring, continued temperature monitoring, and automated nitrogen filling.
- Externalized alarm system with a 24/7 on-call response team
- Back-up dewars for added security of cell bank storage.
